Arambol, Sept. 18 -- Thieves allegedly broke into the residence of Krishna Naik at Bamnobhati, Arambol, and escaped with cash and gold ornaments while the family was away.

According to the complaint, the burglars allegedly stole Rs 2 lakh in cash and gold ornaments valued at around Rs 10 lakh from the house.

The incident came to light after the family returned home and discovered signs of the break-in.

Police have registered a case and launched an investigation. Efforts are underway to identify and trace the persons involved in the burglary.
