Goa, June 19 -- Residents and commercial occupants of the iconic Neogi Mansion have begun moving out their belongings as the building is set to be demolished following a High Court order.

Tenants and occupants, many of whom have been operating businesses or residing in the premises for decades, alleged that they were not taken into confidence by the property owners and received no prior intimation regarding the impending demolition.

Several affected occupants expressed distress over the situation, stating that the sudden development has left them with little time to make alternative arrangements. Many claimed they have no immediate place to relocate and are now facing uncertainty over their future.
