Goa, Sept. 21 -- Tarak Arolkar, arrested by the Crime Branch in connection with an alleged Rs.40 lakh property fraud case, has been hospitalised after complaining of chest pain.

Arolkar is currently undergoing treatment at the District Hospital, following his arrest in a property fraud case.

Mapusa police had registered an FIR against the real estate developer for allegedly cheating a Mormugao resident of Rs.41.9 lakh after promising to sell a 51,000 sq m property at Torxem, Pernem.

His hospitalisation comes amid ongoing investigations into multiple property fraud allegations against him in Goa.
