Goa, Oct. 13 -- The Supreme Court-appointed National Task Force (NTF) on student mental health and suicide prevention in higher education institutions (HEIs) is formulating its final recommendations. The 18-member panel aims to submit its report by the October 31 deadline.

A primary focus of the upcoming report is establishing specific safeguards for students belonging to Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), Other Backward Classes (OBC), minority communities, and individuals with disabilities. Having submitted its interim report in late 2025, the task force is analyzing survey data covering caste, religion, gender, and disability to address campus discrimination.
