Goa, June 16 -- Supporters of Pernem MLA Pravin Arlekar have defended his performance, asserting that the long-pending proposal for the Nhaybag community hall has gained momentum only after his intervention and consistent follow-up with the concerned authorities.

According to the supporters, the community hall project had remained neglected for several years, but the proposal has now reached the relevant government department and construction is expected to commence shortly.

They rejected allegations that the MLA has failed to deliver development works, questioning the achievements of the Deputy Chief Minister during his tenure representing the constituency.
