Goa, Sept. 19 -- A section of the vital bridge connecting Tuem, Aroba, and Dhargal has collapsed, sparking grave safety fears among local residents and commuters. Already narrow and aging, the bridge struggles to handle two-way traffic smoothly. With recent damage compounding structural hazards, motorists fear heightened accident risks, particularly during night travel. In response, residents have urged the Public Works Department to conduct an immediate inspection and execute swift repairs. Additionally, locals are calling on authorities to prioritize the construction of a proposed new, wider bridge to permanently secure the route.
