Goa, Oct. 8 -- The Southwest Monsoon has further withdrawn from the remaining parts of Maharashtra and parts of Goa, Karnataka, Telangana and Odisha as of October 8, 2026, according to the latest weather update.

The monsoon has also retreated from some more areas of Jharkhand and Chhattisgarh, marking further progress in its seasonal withdrawal across the country.

The continued retreat signals the gradual transition from the monsoon season towards the post-monsoon period, with weather conditions expected to increasingly reflect seasonal patterns across the affected regions.
