Goa, May 13 -- The ordinary meeting of the South Goa Zilla Panchayat was held on Wednesday at the Zilla Panchayat office located in the old Collectorate building in Margao.

During the meeting, members passed a congratulatory motion for women representatives who were nominated under the Mahila Shakti Abhiyan initiative.

Several key issues were discussed during the session, including the functioning of contractors, the need for greater administrative powers for the Zilla Panchayat, and the issuance of show-cause notices to contractors who failed to complete works within the stipulated time.
