Goa, April 18 -- A monsoon preparedness meeting for South Goa district was chaired by Collector Egna Cleetus, with senior officials from various departments in attendance.

During the meeting, authorities directed Sub-Divisional Magistrates (SDMs) to deploy talathis to identify flood-prone areas and unsafe structures across the district. The move aims to mitigate risks and ensure timely preventive measures ahead of the monsoon season.

Departments were also instructed to carry out inspections of drainage systems and nallas within the next month and submit detailed reports for necessary action.
