Goa, July 18 -- Activist Sonam Wangchuk was shifted to a hospital on Saturday after completing 20 days on a hunger strike at Delhi's Jantar Mantar.

Police arrived at the protest site early in the morning and removed Wangchuk before taking him to the hospital. Officials have not immediately disclosed further details about his condition.

Wangchuk had been staging the indefinite fast in protest against Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan over the alleged NEET examination paper leak. The activist had demanded accountability and action over the controversy, which has sparked nationwide concern regarding the integrity of the medical entrance examination.
