Goa, Aug. 12 -- Solo trekker Rohit Kudalkar was safely rescued after losing his way in the forest at Gaongondrim near Barsare Temple in Canacona.

An alert was raised around noon, following which Canacona Police, Forest Department officials and Fire & Emergency Services personnel launched a coordinated search operation to locate the trekker.

The rescue teams searched the forested area and successfully traced Kudalkar, bringing him to safety. The prompt response by the agencies helped ensure that the trekker was rescued.

Following the operation, Kudalkar thanked Goa Police and the rescue personnel for their swift response and efforts.
