Goa, June 27 -- Porvorim Police have arrested three persons in connection with a violent assault reported near the Socorro Panchayat Garden on June 18. However, the main accused remains on the run even after nine days, police said.According to the investigation, the victim was allegedly attacked by a group and sustained injuries to the face, head and other parts of the body. Preliminary findings suggest the assault may have stemmed from previous enmity between the parties.The three accused were arrested on June 21, while the prime suspect continues to evade arrest. Police said efforts are underway to trace the absconding accused, and further investigation into the case is in progress.
