Goa, Oct. 1 -- A smart public litter bin installed near the Panjim ferry point has reportedly fallen into disrepair, raising questions over its maintenance and upkeep.

The bin's display appears to be non-functional, while its flaps have been damaged. One of the flaps has reportedly become completely detached from its hinges.

The metal components inside the unit are also heavily rusted, further indicating a lack of maintenance.

The condition of the facility highlights the need for timely repairs and regular upkeep of public amenities to ensure that such installations remain functional and serve their intended purpose.
