Goa, June 6 -- India have ushered in a new chapter in T20I cricket by appointing Shreyas Iyer as captain for the upcoming tours of Ireland and England, replacing World Cup-winning skipper Suryakumar Yadav in a significant leadership transition.

The move reflects the selectors' continued efforts to reshape India's white-ball setup and build a team for the future under fresh leadership.

The squad announcement also features the much-awaited inclusion of teenage prodigy Vaibhav Sooryavanshi.
