Velim, Oct. 7 -- Scrap material valued at around Rs.10 lakh was allegedly stolen from the Electricity Department's sub-station at Velim.According to the complaint, unidentified persons reportedly entered the premises, loaded the scrap material into a tempo and fled from the site.

A Junior Engineer of the Electricity Department has lodged a complaint with the Cuncolim Police, following which an investigation has been initiated to identify those involved and trace the stolen material.

Police are looking into the circumstances surrounding the theft and are expected to examine available leads to establish the identity of the accused.
