Goa, Aug. 18 -- The Supreme Court of India expressed strong concern over the unchecked rise in airfares during peak travel periods, warning that private carriers failing to abide by regulatory framework guidelines could face grounded operations. The court made these observations while hearing a petition challenging the alleged arbitrary and unregulated ticket pricing mechanisms employed by private airlines.
