Goa, Aug. 19 -- Meshu D'Costa and Dattaraj Raut Dessai have been arrested by Sanguem Police in connection with an alleged confrontation at Sanguem Police Station involving threats and obstruction of police personnel on duty.

The South Goa Sessions Court had earlier rejected anticipatory bail pleas filed by D'Costa and four others, observing a "clear prima facie case" of aggressive, confrontational and intimidating conduct. The case is registered under Sections 132, 221, 351 and 189 read with Section 3(5) of the BNS.
