Goa, May 9 -- Saligao Police Station have registered a case under the NDPS Act after allegedly seizing 255.5 grams of suspected hydroponic ganja worth approximately Rs 8.94 lakh near the Panchayat football ground in Pilerne. According to the police wireless message, the accused, identified as 22-year-old Brijesh Shirodkar from Calangute, was found in illegal possession of the contraband during a late-night operation conducted between May 8 and May 9. The offence has been registered under Section 20(b)(ii)(A) of the NDPS Act, 1985. Police said further investigation into the matter is currently underway.
