Goa, Oct. 30 -- Olympic medallist Saina Nehwal and former India cricket captain and coach Rahul Dravid have been nominated as directors on the Organising Company (OC) Board for the 2030 Commonwealth Games, bringing two of India's prominent sporting personalities into the event's governance structure.

The Union Sports Ministry officially nominated Nehwal and Dravid earlier this week as representatives of the sporting fraternity, according to reports. Their appointments are expected to bring sporting experience and leadership perspectives to the preparations for the multi-sport event.
