Rural Women Sustain 40-Year Tradition of Selling Homegrown Vegetables in Margao
Goa, Sept. 1 -- For nearly four decades, rural women from Canacona, Balli, Morpilla, Pirni and Bethoda have been travelling to Margao to sell vegetables grown in their homes and fields, keeping a long-standing tradition alive.
Around 20 women vendors from these rural areas regularly make the journey to Margao, bringing a variety of fresh and seasonal vegetables for customers. Despite the challenges of travelling and spending long hours at the market, they continue the practice with dedication.
