Goa, May 27 -- The Royal Challengers Bengaluru were often labelled as one of the biggest underachievers during the early years of the Indian Premier League. Despite boasting superstars like Virat Kohli, AB de Villiers and Chris Gayle, the franchise repeatedly fell short of expectations throughout much of the 2010s.

However, things began to change in the 2020s. While Gayle had already departed and de Villiers retired in 2021, RCB transformed into a more balanced side by strengthening their bowling attack alongside their traditionally explosive batting unit.
