Goa, Aug. 11 -- Rohit Sharma is set to enter a new phase of his career with his television debut, as the former India captain prepares to host a brand-new entertainment programme on Sony Entertainment Television and SonyLIV.

Sony Pictures Networks India has officially confirmed that Rohit will take on anchoring and presenting duties for the upcoming show, which is scheduled to launch in September. The announcement was made while the network unveiled its entertainment lineup for the upcoming festive season.

However, Sony has so far kept several details about the programme under wraps. The title, format and exact premiere date of the show have not yet been announced.
