Goa, Aug. 3 -- Residents of Rivona have demanded an immediate inquiry into the alleged illegal dumping of hazardous waste in the village, urging the authorities to identify those responsible and initiate strict action against the offenders.

Expressing concern over the incident, locals said the hazardous garbage poses a serious threat to public health as well as the surrounding environment. They called on the concerned departments to investigate how the waste was dumped and ensure that those involved are held accountable.
