Goa, Nov. 3 -- Rashtriya Goans Party (RGP) leader Ajay Kholkar has apologised following criticism over his recent statement, saying he was sorry if his words had hurt anyone.

Kholkar's apology came after he faced backlash over his remarks. He also recalled that similar attacks had previously been directed at him and his family, but claimed that those incidents had not prompted any reaction.

His statement comes amid the ongoing controversy surrounding his remarks and the criticism they have attracted.
