Goa, June 25 -- Residents have renewed their demand for immediate road safety improvements at the accident-prone Marcel Junction near the Betki-Khandola-Amona stretch in North Goa, citing a growing number of road accidents and increasing danger to motorists.

The junction, situated near the Betki-Amona bridge, is considered a major accident black spot due to its sharp bends, steep gradients, merging traffic and the heavy movement of trucks and other commercial vehicles. Locals say the combination of these factors has led to frequent crashes, raising serious concerns about public safety.
