Goa, May 18 -- A huge tree collapsed on the road at Savoi-Verem near Anant Temple, completely blocking vehicular movement in the area following heavy rainfall.

With trees reportedly falling at several locations due to the rains, local residents of Savoi-Verem came together to clear the obstruction and restore traffic movement.

Panch member Akshay Naik also joined the residents in the road-clearing effort. The locals acted swiftly and managed to remove the fallen tree without waiting for the arrival of fire and emergency services.

The incident temporarily disrupted traffic in the area before normal movement was restored through the collective efforts of the villagers.
