Goa, May 22 -- In a swift interstate operation, Bicholim Police arrested a 34-year-old man from Sawantwadi, Mahar ashtra, for the brutal murder of a 58-year-old woman at Chikne-Cudnem in Sankhali. The accused, Sagar Ramesh Rawool of Malaiwa di, Shirshinge, had been on the run since May 19 after allegedly killing Shaila Gha di inside her home out of resentment over a rejected marriage proposal regard ing her younger daughter. Following an intensive man hunt, police apprehended him in Maharashtra with as sistance from Crime Branch Unit IV of the Mira-Bhayan dar, Vasai-Virar Police Com missionerate.
