Goa, Sept. 12 -- Ponda Congress leader Rajesh Verekar has welcomed the possibility of Roy Ravi Naik joining the Congress party, saying he would extend full support if Naik decides to contest the upcoming election from the Madkai constituency.

"If Roy Ravi Naik wants to join the Congress party, I welcome him. If he contests from the Madkai constituency, we will give him our full support," Verekar said.

His remarks come amid discussions over political alignments and potential candidates in Madkai ahead of the Goa Assembly elections.
