India, March 7 -- The Additional Sessions Court in Mapusa has granted anticipatory bail to Goan artist and activist Rajdeep Naik in connection with a case registered at the Valpoi Police Station over an alleged controversial remark made during a protest in Panaji.

The case stems from a statement allegedly made by Naik during a public protest where he was accused of referring to the people of Sattari as "cattle". The remark triggered strong reactions in the Valpoi and Sattari regions, leading to protests and complaints from local residents.
