Goa, July 11 -- Renowned playwright Pundalik Narayan Naik was honoured with the Jeevan Gaurav Puraskar in recognition of his outstanding lifelong contribution to Konkani theatre and literature during the golden jubilee celebrations of the Kala Academy's Konkani Drama Competition.

The prestigious lifetime achievement award was presented to Naik in acknowledgement of his decades-long contribution to the growth and enrichment of Konkani literature and the state's vibrant theatre movement. Widely regarded as one of Goa's most distinguished literary figures, Naik has played a pivotal role in shaping modern Konkani drama through his acclaimed plays, novels and other literary works.
