Goa, Nov. 3 -- Protesters have submitted a memorandum to the Hubballi-Dharwad Municipal Corporation (HDMC), expressing concern over the 12-year delay in the implementation of the Mhadei-Kalasa Banduri project.

The protesters demanded an account of the water cess collected from farmers and sought clarity on how the funds have been utilised.

They also warned that they would launch a round-the-clock sit-in protest until the issue is addressed and the project secures the necessary clearance from the Central Government.

The agitation highlights growing frustration over the prolonged delay in the project, which is aimed at addressing water-related concerns in the region.
