Goa, Sept. 17 -- India cricketer Prithvi Shaw and social media personality and actress Akriti Agarwal have decided to end their relationship around six months after announcing their engagement.

Agarwal confirmed their separation in a statement shared on social media on Thursday. She said the decision was mutual and came after the couple realised that their goals and circumstances for the future were different.

In her statement, Agarwal said the couple continued to care deeply for each other but had accepted that their paths were no longer meant to remain together. She also requested privacy and urged people not to speculate about the reasons behind their decision.
