Goa, May 13 -- The preliminary inquiry report into the leg amputation incident involving an 11-year-old boy from Sattari has revealed serious procedural lapses at the healthcare facility, prompting the government to initiate disciplinary action.
According to the report submitted by the Health Officer of Valpoi Community Health Centre to the Health Department, the plaster slab was allegedly applied by MTS staff functioning as an orthopaedic assistant without adequate direct supervision or documented reassessment by medical authorities.
