Goa, May 25 -- Pre-monsoon showers brought temporary relief from the heat across parts of Salcete on Sunday, but several coastal villages experienced repeated power outages throughout the day following light rainfall.

Residents in Cavelossim, Carmona, Orlim and parts of Varca reported unscheduled electricity cuts lasting between 30 and 45 minutes after rain began around 6.30 am.

According to locals, power supply was restored briefly in several areas before being interrupted again multiple times, disrupting normal activities and causing inconvenience to residents until evening.
