Goa, May 17 -- Goa chief minister Pramod Sawant has urged women across the state to prioritise regular health check-ups and not neglect their personal well-being because of household responsibilities. Addressing citizens during a health awareness initiative, the chief minister stressed the importance of early diagnosis and preventive healthcare.

Sawant said nearly 50,000 women and girls in Goa have already undergone free health screening under the government's 'Check by Doctor' and 'Health with Ayurveda' initiatives. According to him, these programmes are aimed at identifying illnesses at an early stage before they become severe and difficult to treat.
