Goa, May 15 -- A major technical issue has been reported at the 220 kV / 11 kV power transformer at the Amona Substation, disrupting the incoming power supply to the Sankhali Substation and causing widespread electricity outages in several parts of North Goa.

According to officials, the disruption has affected areas under Sankhali Municipality as well as villages including Karapur, Harvale, Navelim, Amona, Kudne, Morlem, Keri, and Honda, along with adjoining localities.

Authorities stated that restoration work is currently underway and technical teams are working to restore electricity supply at the earliest possible time.

Residents in the affected areas have been advised to remain patient while repair operations continue.
