Goa, July 9 -- A man arrested by the Porvorim Police for allegedly possessing 159 grams of suspected ganja has been remanded to four days of police custody by the Judicial Magistrate First Class (JMFC) Court in Mapusa. The accused was apprehended near Nana Nani Park during an operation conducted by the police. A case has been registered under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act. Investigators are continuing their probe to determine the source of the suspected narcotics and whether the accused has links to a wider drug distribution network operating in the region.
