Ponda Police Register Fresh Case in 'Cash-for-Jobs' Scam; Two Booked for Allegedly Cheating Retired PSI of Rs.10 Lakh
Goa, May 30 -- The Ponda Police have registered a fresh case in the alleged 'Cash-for-Jobs' scam, booking two individuals for allegedly cheating a retired police sub-inspector (PSI) by promising to secure a PSI post for his son.
The accused have been identified as Rupesh, a resident of Khandepar in Ponda, and Tommy, a resident of Aldona in Bardez.
According to the police complaint, the retired officer was allegedly assured that his son would be recruited as a PSI and was persuaded to pay Rs.10 lakh in cash to facilitate the appointment.
