Goa, Aug. 8 -- The Ponda Municipal Council (PMC) is reviewing plans to expand and upgrade its bio-methanation plant and Material Recovery Facility (MRF) as part of efforts to strengthen the town's waste management system.

Municipal officials are assessing the progress of the proposed project, along with infrastructure requirements and estimated costs. The planned improvements are aimed at increasing the capacity for dry waste segregation and processing while addressing existing operational bottlenecks.

The council is also holding discussions with various stakeholders to expedite the work and improve waste-handling infrastructure in the town.
