India, March 19 -- The upcoming Ponda Assembly by-election is set for a keen contest as three major political parties have officially announced their candidates.

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has fielded Ritesh Ravi Naik, while the Indian National Congress (Congress) has nominated Dr. Ketan Bhatikar. The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has announced Geetesh Naik as its candidate.
