Goa, Sept. 24 -- Police have recovered a pistol and one live round allegedly used in an attempted firing at a casino owner in Majestic, Porvorim. According to police, the suspect discarded the firearm near the Thivim Hindu Cremation Ground, close to Thivim Railway Station, while fleeing the area. The weapon and ammunition were recovered from the spot on Wednesday night. The seizure is expected to assist investigators in establishing the sequence of events and gathering further evidence in the case. Police are continuing their investigation into the attempted firing and the circumstances surrounding the incident.
