Goa, June 11 -- Goa Medical College (GMC) Medical Superintendent Dr. Rajesh T. Patil has said that police are investigating the death of 23-year-old intern doctor Gauri Narayan, whose body was found at Hawaii Beach on Wednesday night.

Addressing the media, Dr. Patil stated that the substance reportedly recovered from the scene forms part of the ongoing police investigation and that the postmortem examination is currently underway to determine the exact cause of death.

He clarified that anaesthetic drugs are not freely accessible within the hospital and are subject to strict control measures. According to Dr. Patil, the intern doctor would not have had access to such medications.
