Ten years after Pokemon GO first sent millions of players outdoors in search of virtual creatures, the mobile phenomenon marked its milestone in spectacular fashion.

Times Square became the stage for one of the biggest live Pokemon GO events ever held, bringing together more than 1,500 trainers for a massive battle against the legendary Mega Mewtwo Y. Hosted by gaming personality and longtime Pokemon GO fan Sydnee Goodman, the event recreated a moment fans first saw in the game's original reveal trailer-a vision of hundreds of trainers standing together in Times Square to defeat Mewtwo.
