India, March 22 -- Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday convened a high-level meeting to review the evolving West Asia situation, as Brent crude hovered around $109 per barrel, spiking to $119 amid regional tensions. The meeting came as a US LPG tanker docked on India's western coast, providing temporary supply relief.
Discussions focused on petroleum, crude oil, gas, power, and fertiliser supplies, with an emphasis on uninterrupted logistics and distribution across the country. PM Modi stressed the importance of maintaining steady supplies and avoiding bottlenecks, ensuring essential sectors continue to operate smoothly amid geopolitical uncertainties.
