Goa, June 22 -- Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Monday extended birthday greetings to Tamil Nadu Chief Minister C Joseph Vijay, wishing him good health and a long life as he celebrated his 52nd birthday.

Vijay, who took office as Tamil Nadu's Chief Minister on May 10, received wishes from leaders across the political spectrum on the occasion.

In a post on X, Prime Minister Modi conveyed his greetings and prayed for the chief minister's well-being.

"Birthday greetings to the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, Thiru C. Joseph Vijay Ji. I pray for his long and healthy life," Modi wrote.
