Goa, May 25 -- Fuel prices across the country have been increased once again, with petrol and diesel rates going up by Rs 2.61 to Rs 2.71 per litre, marking the fourth hike in less than two weeks.

State-owned fuel retailers implemented the latest revision as they continue passing on the impact of rising international crude oil prices to consumers.

The repeated increase in fuel prices is expected to put additional pressure on household budgets and transportation costs, while also affecting the prices of essential commodities and services.

Oil companies have cited fluctuations in global crude markets and higher import costs as key reasons behind the continued upward revision in retail fuel prices.
