Petrol, Diesel Prices Hiked After Four Years; CNG Rates Also Increased in Major Metro Cities
Goa, May 15 -- The Central Government has announced an increase in retail prices of petrol and diesel across the four metro cities, marking the first fuel price hike for consumers in nearly four years. The revised rates came into effect on Friday, May 15.
Along with petrol and diesel, the price of CNG has also been increased by Rs 2 per kg in major cities.
In addition, the price of Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) in Delhi has been increased from Rs 77.09 per kg to Rs 79.09 per kg.
A day earlier, CNG prices in Mumbai were also revised upward by Rs 2 per kg. Following the hike, CNG will now cost Rs 84 per kg across the Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR).
