Pellet Guns, Lathis, Tear Gas: Supreme Court Panel To Examine NEET Protest Clashes
Goa, Aug. 20 -- The Supreme Court on Thursday constituted a five-member High-Powered Enquiry Committee to examine allegations of excessive use of force by police and paramilitary personnel during a July 20 Sansad Chalo march organised by the Cockroach Janta Party.
The committee will be headed by former Supreme Court judge Justice R. Subhash Reddy. Its other members include former Punjab and Haryana High Court Chief Justice Ravi Shankar Jha, former Delhi High Court judge Justice Shalinder Kaur, former CBI director Rishi Kumar Shukla and retired Meghalaya Director General of Police Dr LR Bishnoi.
