Goa, Aug. 16 -- A demonstration on oyster mushroom cultivation was organised by the Goa College of Agriculture's RAWRE Centre at Savoi Verem for local farmers and residents. The programme was held at the Gram Panchayat Library Hall and aimed at creating awareness about simple mushroom cultivation techniques. The session was organised by students Girija Desai, Mrinmayi Bhingi, Pratika Velip and Vaishnavi Shetye. Participants were introduced to oyster mushroom cultivation and its potential as a viable income-generating activity, particularly for farmers and local communities seeking additional livelihood opportunities.
