Overflowing Sewage Chamber at Colva Raises Pollution Concerns Ahead of Monsoon
Goa, May 13 -- An overflowing sewage chamber near the Fisheries Department road in Colva has triggered concern among local residents after dirty water reportedly began flowing into nearby fields.
Speaking to the media, Simao Rodrigues said such incidents create a negative impression on tourists visiting Goa. He stated that visitors come to the state to experience its beauty and cleanliness, but sewage overflow and unhygienic conditions harm Goa's image as a tourism destination.
Rodrigues also warned that if such conditions are already visible before the onset of the monsoon, the situation could worsen significantly during heavy rainfall.
